The myriad patterns of growth and formation, organic and inorganic, crystalline and chaotic, fill me with awe and reverence for the processes of creation and destruction .  My work aims at fulfilling an instinct to see what is invisible.  The work is a synthesis of geometry, cellular processes, other logic based structures and internal experiences.  It is an attempt at discovery through ordering (kosmos) and chance.

In these labor-intensive images, there may be references to cities or spores, circuits or alleys, cathedrals or bacteria, genes or planets. All may be suggested, but nothing in particular is alluded to.  They exist as things in and among themselves, infused by the same principles that govern all.

I am intent upon transforming the ordinariness of everyday consciousness (i.e. the mania for the quick, the sensational and the novel) into more subtle, delicate, and intimate ways of seeing and being.  My work is a combination of traditional notions of painting, new technology, and theoretical and natural sciences.  I am concerned with revealing through direct observation and intuitive experimentation the beautiful. I attempt this through using that which is intellectually and technically cutting edge, as well as understanding the history of those who worked in this manner before me.
